Croeso i Bawb – A New Accessibility Scheme

Tourism and hospitality businesses across Wales are being encouraged to apply for a new £2 million grant scheme to improve accessibility and create more inclusive visitor experiences, the Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy, Adam Price, has announced.

The Croeso i Bawb grant scheme launches today to support practical improvements that help remove barriers for disabled visitors and those travelling with them. Funded by Visit Wales, this new initiative aims to assist tourism and hospitality businesses in creating more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming visitor environments, ensuring that a wider range of people can enjoy and engage with tourism experiences across Wales.

Around 25% of overnight holiday trips to Wales include someone with an impairment or access requirement. Improving accessibility helps more people enjoy Wales with confidence.

Full details on what the scheme could support are still being finalised, but examples include accessible toilets and bedrooms, improved paths and hearing loops, inclusive play areas, sensory spaces, rest areas, accessible outdoor seating and improved visitor routes that make visitor spaces more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

The closing date for Croeso i Bawb applications is 21 September 2026 at 5pm.
