Apprenticeship Vacancies

Hi Everyone,

As a way of supporting the businesses that we engage with, we have decided to promote apprenticeship opportunities that they create within their businesses.

Please find below our first list of Apprenticeship and Jobs Growth Wales Vacancies (please feel free to share this onwards to anyone who you know that maybe interested in applying).

1. Slideways Motorsport (Llanfairfechan) – Automotive Engineering Apprenticeship min 30 hours – National Minimum Wage – closing date 03/09/2017

Slideways Motorsport is a busy, thriving garage. The garage generates work from new and loyal customers and involves multiple brands and a vast variety of tasks from general servicing and maintenance to high performance rally cars.  The role will include but is not limited to work in servicing, general maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

 2. Nelson Myatt Solicitors – Office Junior (Administrator) 37.5 hours – Apprenticeship NMW – Closing date 08.17

Nelson Myatt are award winning solicitors who deal with all aspects of civil law. This is an exciting opportunity for an Office Junior (Administrator) to join their busy office. Training will include – Business and Administration Level 2 NVQ Certificate with the opportunity to move onto further training afterwards.
3. The Groes Inn (Llanwrst) – 2 x Foundation Apprenticeship 37 hours + per week to include working weekends and split shifts – Higher than Apprenticeship NMW – Closing Date 11/09/2017

A fantastic opportunity for 2 people to train as professional Commis Chef’s learning to cook an up market French menu with very high standards. Applicants will have a genuine interest in food and aspirations to develop a career, learning all there is to know about professional cookery, fresh ingredients, and will be provided with ample scope to be creative whilst working towards an industry recognised qualification.

Professional Cookery Level 2 NVQ Diploma.

4. Maesdu Golf Club (kitchen run by Watson’s Bistro) – National Minimum Wage, 37 hours

2 positions – trainee professional chef.  A fantastic opportunity for any aspiring chef. The last apprentice to complete an apprenticeship with Ian progressed onto employment at a 3 AA rosette establishment. The trainee will learn under the direction of Ian and his team, benefitting from their years of combined industry experience in food production and fine dining.

5. Jennings (Colwyn Bay) – 2 x formwork apprentices

Jennings are an award winning construction company based in Colwyn Bay. Established in 1984, they have many years of experience in the construction industry which enables them to offer a complete range of services offering good progression opportunities for their employees. On completion of the apprenticeship the applicant will have achieved Level 2 Construction Diploma in Formwork, Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Formwork Operations, Level 2 Functional Skills (Maths and English) and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
